The leadership team have each been assigned a few people from the congregation to check in with over the next couple of weeks. Our aim is to make sure that to the best of our ability, everybody is being checked on by somebody. We’ll make sure that anybody struggling to get the necessities receives whatever help we can offer under the circumstances.
We are hoping that on Tuesday we will be able to put a small team together to deliver food and other essentials to those who are in necessary isolation and unable to go out. Please let your assigned member of the leadership team know of any significant needs by Monday if you are able.
While GDPR has restricted some of the information we hold for people and others haven’t given us their most recent contact details, we will do the best we can.
If you think we don’t have the correct contact information for you, please Contact Us to give us what we need.
This is an opportunity for us to be both committed and creative about what it means to be the church. Our mission has not changed but how we fulfil it in the days ahead might look different. In the midst of all this difficulty, there is something beautiful about watching the church step up and embrace its calling to be people of great faith, bringing hope and peace to a world in need. May we rise to the challenge.
Philippians 4:5-7 (NIV)
“Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
